| Aussie military planes provide flood aid
AUSTRALIAN defence force planes have joined a critical aid mission for thousands of flood victims in Papua New Guinea, as looting broke out in hard-hit Oro province. Last week's floods left thousands homeless, and officials fear the death toll of about 160 could rise dramatically unless food and clean water supplies quickly reach survivors. There are security fears in Oro province, north of the capital Port Moresby, after looters made off with a rice shipment and local MPs were accused of commandeering relief supplies for their own villages. Australia today sent in two C-130 Hercules transport aircraft and two smaller Caribous to start distributing AusAID supplies, including water purification tablets, emergency shelters, blankets and generators.

It's is a streamline install of Office SharePoint Server 2007 with almost all the enterprise search features that most users would want and is a must download for any Windows Server shop. Even if you didn't own Windows Server 2003, 2003 R2, or 2008, it would seem like a great way to build a very cheap enterprise search engine appliance with a minimal Windows Server 2003 or above license and a simple 1U server for less than $2000 which is a LOT less than a $30K starting price Google Search Engine appliance with a 500K document cap.
Pick 'n' roll: Wednesday's best NBA bets
With the trade of Jason Kidd to Dallas looking imminent, the Nets will likely take the court on Tuesday without their All-Star guard. It's hard to see how the Nets will win without him. Kidd missed just 22 games in his five seasons with New Jersey and the Nets lost 16 of them. He leads the team in assists (10.4), rebounds (8.1) and steals (1.5) this season and is putting up 11.3 points per game. It's not like things were going peachy with Kidd and the team, either. The Nets have dropped 13 of their last 18 games overall and are 5-13 against the spread over that stretch. The Bulls, meanwhile, covered the spread in six of seven games before the break. Pick: Bulls L.A. Lakers at Phoenix Suns (-4 1/2, 222) It seems that Shaquille O'Neal will finally make his Suns debut Wednesday night and it will happen against his former team.
